Mais derri\u00e8re les discours officiels, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 du terrain en 2026 reste marqu\u00e9e par des retards de salaires, des r\u00e9formes inachev\u00e9es et une profession en qu\u00eate de dignit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Journ\u00e9e nationale de l\u2019enseignement, c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e le 30 avril en R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo, se veut un moment de reconnaissance envers ceux que l\u2019on appelle les \u00ab b\u00e2tisseurs de la nation \u00bb. Pourtant, en 2026, cette comm\u00e9moration s\u2019inscrit dans un contexte paradoxal : jamais le r\u00f4le de l\u2019enseignant n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi central, mais rarement ses conditions de vie n\u2019ont suscit\u00e9 autant d\u2019inqui\u00e9tudes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur le plan structurel, le secteur \u00e9ducatif congolais repose sur une arm\u00e9e impressionnante de professionnels : plus de 624 000 enseignants \u00e9taient recens\u00e9s et pay\u00e9s en mars 2026 . Ce chiffre illustre \u00e0 la fois l\u2019ampleur du syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif et le poids de la masse salariale pour l\u2019\u00c9tat. Dans cette optique, certaines r\u00e9formes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 engag\u00e9es, notamment l\u2019int\u00e9gration de la prime de gratuit\u00e9 directement dans le salaire d\u00e8s janvier 2026, afin de r\u00e9duire les irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s et am\u00e9liorer la transparence .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, ces avanc\u00e9es peinent \u00e0 masquer les difficult\u00e9s persistantes. Les enseignants d\u00e9noncent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des retards de paiement et des arri\u00e9r\u00e9s accumul\u00e9s sur plusieurs mois. En d\u00e9but d\u2019ann\u00e9e 2026, des instructions gouvernementales ont \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9es pour apurer ces dettes, preuve que le probl\u00e8me reste structurel . Des irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s dans le fichier de paie, des ponctions injustifi\u00e9es sur les primes ou encore des retards li\u00e9s \u00e0 la gestion des effectifs continuent de fragiliser le syst\u00e8me . Dans certains cas, des enseignants ont vu leurs revenus amput\u00e9s sans explication, avant des r\u00e9gularisations tardives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 des chiffres, c\u2019est la condition humaine de l\u2019enseignant qui interpelle. Contraints de travailler de longues heures sans activit\u00e9s compl\u00e9mentaires, beaucoup peinent \u00e0 subvenir aux besoins de leurs familles . Dans les zones en conflit, certains continuent m\u00eame d\u2019enseigner sans salaire pendant plusieurs mois, dans des conditions extr\u00eames .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ainsi, la gratuit\u00e9 de l\u2019enseignement de base \u2014 r\u00e9forme phare du gouvernement \u2014 se heurte \u00e0 une contradiction majeure : elle repose sur des enseignants dont les salaires restent faibles et irr\u00e9guliers . Une \u00e9quation difficile \u00e0 soutenir sur le long terme, tant elle affecte la motivation et la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019enseignement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2026, c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la Journ\u00e9e de l\u2019enseignant en RDC revient autant \u00e0 rendre hommage qu\u2019\u00e0 poser une question essentielle : peut-on b\u00e2tir une \u00e9cole forte sur des enseignants fragilis\u00e9s ?
